Aquatic Therapy Pool Rescue Award (ATPRA)
Specialist rescue training for aquatic therapy settings

Course Details
The RLSS UK, ATPRA pool supervision and rescue award for aquatic therapists and support workers overseeing aquatic activities. The 12hr course includes training over 2 days plus assessment. This certification is suitable for those working in a variety of pools, including where the water is deeper than your standing depth. ATPRA LIGHT is an alternative for facilities with qualified lifeguards or first-aiders on hand for emergencies. The ATPRA course is available to individuals 16yrs or older who can swim 25 meters, perform a surface dive, and exit the pool unaided. ATPRA renewal candidates must renew within the validity period of their current award by completing the course and assessment like new candidates.
Adding an optional AED training section (additional 1.5hrs) or Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (additional 1 day) extends course hours and incurs extra fees.
Optional add-ons: AED Level 2 certificate for £25 and EFAW Level 3 certificate for £63.
