Terms & Conditions of Business

1. Terms and Conditions

1.1 - Terms and conditions shall supersede any others unless statutory rights and liabilities apply. Any changes must be agreed upon by a director of the Company in writing.

 

1.2 - No other employee, representative or agent has authority to vary, alter or amend these conditions in any way whatsoever.

 

1.3 - FAB First Aid Training Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions periodically or at any time without notice.

 

1.4 - These terms and conditions, including any non-contractual claims or disputes, are governed by English law. By engaging in any bookings with us, you agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claims or disputes arising out of or related to such bookings

2. Payment

2.1 - Payment must be made at the time of booking. Any booking can be cancelled by FAB First Aid Training Ltd if the payment has not been made in full and on time.

 

2.2 - For bookings made via our website, individuals are required to make payment at the time of booking by debit/credit card. No VAT is presently charged.

 

2.3 - Payment can be made via BACS transfer to the following details.

3. Bookings 

3.1 - We will accept bookings either from an email to connect@fabtraining.org.uk or online.

 

3.2 - The booking will only be confirmed once the payment has been made in full for a selected course date. All booking must be confirmed in writing.

 

3.3 - All bookings must have a bank reference, your name or company name and customer reference number.

 

4. Cancellations & Transfers

4.1 - If a candidate chooses to transfer to another course or cancel your booking, FAB First Aid Training Ltd requires you to give two weeks’ notice before the start date of the course. In these circumstances, you will be given a full refund.

4.2 - For Brunel basic Life support (BLS) courses, 48 hrs notice is required to receive a transfer or refund. After 48hrs from the commencement time of the course, no refund will be given.

 

4.3 - In the case of full cancellation, a full refund will be given if cancellation is made 2 weeks prior to the course start date. A fee of 50% of the course fee will apply, if the course start date is within 14 days before. If the cancellation is within 7 days of the start date, the full course fee will apply.

 

4.4 - FAB First Aid Training Ltd reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses at any time. In the instance of cancellation due to our own decision, we will reschedule the course or offer a full refund.

5. Course Timings & Attendance

5.1 - FAB First Aid Training Ltd reserves the right to refuse to accept any candidate for training if they arrive late or are absent for any session. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable.

5.2 - It is mandatory for all candidates to attend all sessions, this is to conform with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance. Candidates must attend courses on time as stated on their course joining instructions.

 

5.3 - Candidates that fail to attend on time, or candidates that miss part of the course will result in the candidates removal from any theory or practical assessments as appropriate.

 

6. Did not attend

6.1 - Any candidate that does not attend without the required notice period as above, will incur the cost of the full fee. A further course fee will be payable if a re-booking is made.

 

7. English fluency

7.1 - All candidates participating in our courses must possess a proficient level of both spoken and written English. This proficiency is essential to comprehend the course materials, follow instructions during training sessions and undertake written examinations effectively.

 

8. Health & Fitness Requirement

8.1 - Candidates enrolled in any of our courses must be in good health and free from any ailment, condition, or injury that may impede their participation in the practical aspects of the course.

 

9. First Aid at Work Requalification

9.1 - Candidates attending refresher or re qualification courses, must bring with them or have proof of their valid first aid at work certificate. This evidence must be within 28 days of the course start date.

 

10. Certificates

10.1 - All candidates will receive an electronic (e-certificate) which is included in their course fee.

10.2 - Certificates will be emailed to the email address used in the initial booking unless we are advised otherwise. This will come from either FAB First Aid Training Ltd  or from the awarding body, as appropriate.

10.3 - Any errors on certificates must be made via email to connect@fabtraining.org.uk within 28 days of the date of issue of the certificate.

10.4 - Candidates can additionally request a hard copy of their certificate for an additional fee of £2.50 per certificate.

 

10.5 - Where an invoice remains unpaid, FAB First Aid Training Ltd reserves the right not to issue certificates.

 

11. Admissions Policy

11.1 - FAB First Aid Training Ltd upholds a strict admission policy to ensure a conducive learning environment for all participants

11.2 - We reserve the right to refuse admission to any candidate displaying anti-social or unruly behaviour towards our staff or fellow candidates.

11.3 - In the event of such behaviour, immediate action will be taken, resulting in the removal of the offending party from the training session. Our priority is to maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere where all participants can fully engage in the learning process.

 

12. Onsite Training Space Requirements

12.1 - For organisations who make bookings for onsite first aid training at their premises, it is essential to ensure that the venue has a sufficiently sized room to facilitate effective learning and practical exercises.

12.2 -The designated room must have a minimum area of 40 square metres to comfortably accommodate all attending candidates. Typically, our courses cater for groups up to 12.

12.3 - Sufficient space is necessary to allow for practical exercises that may involve lying or kneeling on the floor. This ensures that candidates can fully engage in hands-on learning.

12.4 - Additionally, ample space should be available for candidates to complete theory papers or other necessary tasks during the training session.

12.5 - Measurements of the room can be adjusted in accordance to the number of delegates attending, at the discretion of FAB First Aid Training Ltd.

12.6 - FAB First Aid Training Ltd reserves the right to refuse training if the designated space is deemed inadequate for conducting the training effectively. In such cases, no refunds will be given

 

13. Force Majeure

13.1 FAB First Aid Training Ltd acknowledges that certain incidents or occurrences beyond its control may impact the provision of scheduled course dates, timings, content, including but not limited to amendments, rescheduling and cancellations.

13.2 - In such cases, where circumstances arise outside our control, FAB First Aid Training Ltd cannot be held responsible or liable. However, we are committed to mitigating the impact by making reasonable efforts to arrange suitable alternative arrangements for affected forces.

 

14. Complaints & Feedback Procedure

14.1 - At FAB First Aid Training Ltd, we value your feedback and are committed to continuously improving our courses. If you have any concerns or are dissatisfied with any aspects of the course, we encourage you to reach out to us.

14.2 - Please email your feedback or complaint to connect@fabtraining.org.uk Your input will assist us address any issues promptly and enhance the quality of our training programmes.
